Canadian company NOVA STEEL purchased two high production slitting lines for two of their service centers. The line for the LaSalle (Montreal) plant is in full production since January 2018.
The line processes Hot Rolled, HRP&O and Cold-Rolled Steel 35 Ton, 1830 mm wide coils up to 9.5 mm thick.
The quality of the finished coils is improved by the Shape Enhancement System, that provides overall shape correction and tightly wound slit coils. The thicker strands are elongated more than the thinner strands, thereby minimizing loop depth.
