Athader has successfully commissioned a new high-performance slitting line at a major service center in northern Mexico, designed to process coils up to 72 inches wide and 0.250 inches thick.
This advanced line features the latest technology for high-output operations, including a 9” automatic locking shear with a 4-arm turret for fully automated tool changes. It also includes a scrap chopper and a scrap evacuation system that removes scrap outside the plant, ensuring a clean and efficient workflow.
At the end of the line, an automated packaging system integrates a coil turner, weighing system, and a magnetic stacker capable of sorting coils into multiple packages, optimizing logistics and material handling.
