Heavy gauge Slitting Line to be installed in Ohio
One of the main suppliers of welded pipe in North America, which had three Athader lines in Canada, has acquired a heavy gauge SL-1850×12 line for their new facility in Ohio (United States). The line incorporates a “hands free” threading system to facilitate the threading of thick, high-resistance materials without direct operator intervention, reducing downtime between coils to a minimum. These developments and their extremely positive experience with the Athader service have been the main factors in their decision to trust us again.
2 Important orders in Spain
An important steel service centre in Catalonia, which already had five ATHADER lines, has confirmed 2 orders for a heavy gauge cut to length line for high yield and high tensile strength hot rolled steel, as well as a high-production slitting line.
The 2000×12 cut to length line is supplied with a portico type peeler breaker, pre-leveller, brushing unit, a leveller with two cassettes with automatic extraction and book-type opening to facilitate maintenance, a flying shear and an electrical cabinet with regenerative system to save energy. The line will also comprise the maintenance and production data capture system “The Matrix” developed by our technicians. All Athader lines in this service centre are already equipped with this feature.
The 1650×2 slitting line will have a maximum speed of 300m / min, coil capacity of 30 tons and as main equipment it will have deburring rollers, double loop, mobile tension stand, automatic change systems, regenerative electrical cabinet and also The Matrix system.
Light gauge Slitting Line
An order for a SL-1850×4 slitting line for a large UK service centre was also completed in January. This is the second line of its kind that ATHADER has supplied to the British Isles in the last two years.
The line has an automatic coil loading system, deburring rollers, automatic change of the shear blades and auto change of the separators shaft in the recoiler, threading cart and double loop to reduce the depth of the pit necessary to process light gauge material.
Shipment of the line is scheduled for mid-August 2021.
In addition to these orders, Athader has secured other orders for equipment supply, revamps and a large volume of orders for parts and services.
